Α large turnout of engineers at the 3rd Energy Congress of EDEM |

The 3rd Congress on Energy, organized by EDEM, took place with a large turnout of engineers of all specialties, over 200 people, on March 9-10th 2011, in the Auditorium of the Technical Chamber of Greece, under the auspices of the Ministry of Environment, Energy and Climate Change. 
The Board of members of EDEM and the members of the Organizing Committee thank the speakers who, with their notable presentations, have informed colleagues of all specialties, both for the policy of the State in terms of Renewable Energy Sources and Energy Saving and also for the technological development in these fields.
Besides, we thank the sponsors of the Conference, because without their support, the organization of the Congress would not be successful.

Finally, we thank all colleagues engineers, both male and female and also the students in Technical Universities, who, by their presence, supported the Congress. The need for information on current energy issues and technological development became apparent.
EDEM is planning to organize the 4th Congress on Energy in 2 years’ time and until the next Congress, one of the aims of the Energy Committee of EDEM will be to update the information on energy issues through the EDEM website and through conferences focused on specific engineering specialties.
The Organizing Committee of the Congress constitutes the Energy Committee of EDEM. Any colleagues engineers wishing to participate to the Energy Committee of EDEM are welcome and should contact our offices in order to be informed for the next meeting of the Committee.
The conference proceedings will be collected on CD and will be available from EDEM to all those who will ask it by e-mail or telephone in our offices. Further details will appear shortly on the website of EDEM. In addition to that, the lectures of the speakers will be posted on the EDEM website.
