The European Federation for girls and women was established the18th October 2008, the same day the federations’statutes were confirmed with the agreement of all the partners and the Board of the Federation was elected too.

EDEM is member of EPWS since its establishment in 2007. Posters of EDEM were included in EPWS Conferences:

-       EPWS Annual Conference ‘Women Shaping Science’, Vilnius, Lithouania, June 2008, EDEM sent the poster ‘Investigation of the causes for the low percentage of female students in the Technical Universities and for the low percentage of women engineers in high level positions in the technical sector’

-       EPWS Annual Conference ‘Scientific Culture, Communication, Gender – An Innovative Challenge for Women Scientists, Brussels, June 2009, EDEM present the poster ‘Women engineers for the environment issues’.

• ARVHA Association pour la Recherche sur la ville et l'Habitat, στη Γαλλία.

ARVA participated with designs of French female architects in the exposition 'The scientific work of women engineers' organized by EDEM, May 2008 in Athens.
